Joseph
Kou, M.D., recently joined Muir Orthopaedic Specialists. Dr. Kou
comes to Muir Orthopaedic Specialists following a fellowship in foot
and ankle reconstruction at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New
York, NY. Dr. Kou earned his Medical Degree from Wayne State
University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan.
He served his residency in
Orthopaedic Surgery at one of the busiest orthopaedic centers in the
country, William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. He is a
member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the
American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.
Dr. Kou provides
state-of-the-art orthopaedic care in an efficient and compassionate
fashion. Orthopaedic Surgery is an ever-changing field and the
advances in foot and ankle care materials and technology have
dramatically changed the way most Orthopaedic Surgeons practice. Dr.
Kou is among the best-trained foot and ankle surgeons in the
country.
He has
advanced training in forefoot, hindfoot, and ankle
reconstructive surgery. He utilizes the latest technologically
advanced surgical procedures in the treatment of lower extremity
deformities and degenerative conditions. Dr. Kou educates his
patients on how and why their problem developed and on what
conservative and surgical treatment options are available to them.
Dr. Kou’s patients enjoy his down to
earth bedside manner. Dr. Kou is married and has one child
currently. His hobbies include cars, electronics, and teaching his
son about this new world. |
